If God asked you for an arm and promised that you'd never get it back but also that you would never truly need it again for as long as you continued to naturally live, would you accept God's demands?
The idea is that God demands you give him your arm but promises to ensure that going forward you would never truly need that arm for anything ever again. Your life might seem better with 2 arms but if God promises it isn't, then it probably isn't. To accept God's demands in this instance is to willingly give God the arm as opposed to having God take the arm.
There is no keeping both arms. You cannot put God in a box.
